The Dutch artist, Aline Valster - who's father has a strong interest in photography and stained glass design - grew up in a small rural town in the Netherlands where she spent as much time as possible around horses. Aline’s glass panels are the result of a lifelong passion for horses combined with her desire to express and share this passion with others. In particular, the Icelandic horses have captured her attention with their rugged, proud, yet elegant look and character. Despite the demands of a career as a scientist, she has always felt an urge to learn about and be as close as possible to these magnificent animals - their pull has been irresistible. In her work as a glass artist, Aline strives to express the beauty and purity of emotions she finds in the horses that grace her life.
